Democrats' Reyes promises accountability (radio address)
The presumptive chairman of the U.S. House of Representatives' Intelligence Committee promised to keep the Bush administration accountable to the U.S. people.

(snip)
Democrats complained that Congress under Republicans did little to check the White House and said they would if they gained a majority, which voters gave them last month. Following up on that, Reyes, in the Democrats' weekly radio address, said he will "focus on oversight, holding administration officials accountable to the American people."

He said such oversight would be "bipartisan, focused and serious. And it will strengthen America's intelligence capability during this dangerous time."

Reyes called on U.S. President George Bush to accept recommendations of the Iraq Study Group that proposed engaging Iraq's neighbors -- Iran and Syria -- to help establish peace in Iraq.

1. "conservatives" don't want bush held accountable
They just want his "christian" arrogance to reign supreme. His supporters want our kids to continue to get slaughtered in Iraq because george is such a fucking brilliant foreign policy strategist. Holding a "conservative" accountable? How much more unamerican can one get?

bush's supporters and radical christian clerics are domestic enemies of our constitution and they prove it every day.
