Musicians Win Back Payments From CBS

Musicians who wrote the theme for CBS news program “The Saturday Early Show” have received more than $170 thousand dollars in late penalties from the network. Under the musicians union contract programs are required to pay a reuse fee every six-months that the show is aired. CBS failed to pay for seven years. CBS shelled out $173,127.24 to the seven musicians who wrote the theme.
