BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - A car bomb exploded near a crowded bus stop in eastern Baghdad during morning rush hour on Wednesday, killing 10 people in a mostly Shiite area, police said.

The blast went off in the Kamaliyah neighborhood at 8:45 a.m. near the Shiite al-Rasoul mosque but did not damage the small building, according to police Capt. Mohammed Abdul-Ghani and police Maj. Mahir Hamad.

Ten civilians were killed and 26 wounded, Abdul-Ghani and Hamad said, and Iraqi and U.S. soldiers raced to the neighborhood to close off the area.

The explosion damaged the front of nearby stores and destroy three parked cars, the officers said.

1. Iraq bombings kill 19, undermine peace talks
BAGHDAD (AFP) - Three vehicle bombs have killed 19 people and wounded scores more in Iraq, stirring sectarian anger in the run-up to a national unity conference.

A car bomb which detonated in a busy market near the Al-Kamaliyah mosque in a mainly Shiite district of east Baghdad killed at least 10 civilians and wounded another 26, a security official said Wednesday.

Bodies of the victims lay scattered around the street amid pools of blood and the burning wreckage of at least two cars and a row of market stalls set up by a nearby bus station.

In another attack, two truck bombs smashed into a base of Iraq's oil infrastructure protection force, killing nine soldiers and wounding 10, an officer on the scene said, adding three civilians were also injured.

8. Most Americans I know do.
Those I know that don't, don't sympathize because the Iraqis are 1) Arab and 2) Muslim.

THese are the same people who praised Jesus for the Indonedia Tsunami, and the Pakistan / Iran Earthquake... and then go on to call the citizens of those nations "dangerous religious extremists preaching an ideology of hate"
