(Virgil) Goode stands by anti-Islam letter
U.S. Rep. Virgil H. Goode Jr. will not apologize to upset Islamic groups for a letter he wrote that decries the migration of Muslims to America, his press aide said today.

"He stands by the letter," said Linwood Duncan, aide to the 5th District Republican.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations demanded an apology for the letter, which Goode, of Rocky Mount, sent to hundreds of constituents and which the council labeled Islamophobic.

"We need to stop illegal immigration totally and reduce legal immigration and end the diversity visas policy pushed hard by President Clinton and allowing many persons from the Middle East to come to this country," Goode wrote. "I fear that in the next century we will have many more Muslims in the United States if we do not adopt the strict immigration policies that I believe are necessary to preserve the values and beliefs traditional to the United States of America and to prevent our resources from being swamped."

3. So, basically, only white Christians need apply?
How cute. :eyes:

This numnut is still raging on about swearing in on the Koran. Hey, newsflash moran- no one swears in on anything remotely related to religion. YOu can have a picture taken after the swearing-in ceremony. What an idiot. Turn off the reich-wing radio and use that grey matter between your ears before it all decays away!

5. But We Can Be Assured He Is Not Against ...
Muslims. He is for "preserve the values and beliefs traditional to the United States of America and to prevent our resources from being swamped." (Remember the KKK ain't against blacks, it is for whites. What next?) Which values is Goode standing for?

(Funny how Clinton got dragged into this.)

Of all the low life bigotry!

6. He said the next century.
Is this idiot talking about the 22 nd century? We have more pressing problems than "Muslims in the United States" before then.

8. What a stupid fuck. And he's in the House, too, so he KNOWS he is lying.
It has to do with that Koran swearing-in nonsense...this is stupider than FREEDOM FRIES, to be honest.

When Reps take the oath, they do it en masse, like they are being inducted into the service. There are NO BOOKS....NO BIBLES....NO KORANS....NO ADORING SPOUSES...anywhere during the OFFICIAL swearing in.

And all these complaining assholes already know that. Yet they continue to shop this bullshit story around...for WHAT? To try to whip up some Muslim-hatin' yee haw whoopie???

The vanity pictures that are taken later are "MOCK" swearing-in ceremonies, they aren't actually taking any oath at all. It's FAKE....just like all this stupid outrage is!!!!

10. Ah, the pendulum swings....
Better the bigotted a**-hole you know, then the one you're not sure of.

The interesting thing now will be to see how other Congresscritters treat this guy, whether he is ostracized... or excused and embraced.

I also want to see whether anyone else stands up next to him and echoes his words, even in a more sugar-coated way.

I don't think that it's good for such views to remain in the closet when they are this bigotted. Constituents need to know, so that they can make decisions on whether to continue to support such a person.

And other Americans need to know so that we can monitor those who would align themselves to Goode.

18. actually...
The repubs should be bound tightly to this dude and his rhetoric and not allowed to wiggle their way free from it... just like binding them tightly to the fundamental xtians and not allowing them to wiggle free brought them down in the last election, the ones who remained standing should be tied tightly to this moron and made to sink with him.

23. Don't wait for that! Nail him on MZM investigations like the Dukestir!
We got Duke Cunningham with his connections to MZM. Virgil Goode's something like third in line behind Duke Cunningham and Kathleen Harris for taking "bribe" money from MZM. I say we just start writing some extra letters to Henry Waxman to nail this bum and get him out NOW! At least Katherine Harris and Cunningham are both out of politics for the time being. We need to take him down NEXT!

Goode with convicted CRIMINAL Mitchell Wade!

24. CNN interviewed some of those stupid white people that voted for Goode
Edited on Fri Dec-22-06 06:28 PM by IndianaGreen
One stupid white woman was saying that she prefers the King James. A stupid white man said he had nothing against Muslims, but he didn't like having them forcing their religion on everyone else.

Stop inbreeding, stupid white people!
