Bag with missing passport applications is found at LA airport

SALT LAKE CITY A bag with hundreds of passport applications has been found at Los Angeles International Airport, nearly after a month after it was supposed to be shipped to a processing center in North Carolina. A spokeswoman for consular affairs at the U-S State Department says the applications appear to be intact and undamaged.

The bag with more than 700 applications was reported missing December first. Most applications were from Texas and California but a handful were from Utah.

Before the bag was found, the State Department had notified people that it would pay for another round of applications.

The documents had personal information, including Social Security numbers. The State Department spokeswoman says she was not aware of any reports of identity theft.

1. Oddly, it doesn't say where the bag was found, just that it was found...
so was it found in the unclaimed luggage area? Or in an airport locker? or in a dumpster behind a KFC? or maybe in the back room where the luggage handlers work and was being used as a card table?

Somethings not right with this story.

2. The more forms for ID papers we are required to supple 'for security'
the less secure we become.

This whole DHS thing is nothing but a funnel for monies to Fat Cat Contractors and bones tossed to small-time-crime ID thieves and those who counterfeit papers to sell on the black market.

THERE IS NO SECURITY. And the more info/data we are required provide so they can 'protect' us from terra-ists, the more danger we are in via the misuse of the data.

They want more of us to have passports. Then applications go missing? Gonna be a lot of well documented illegals and a lot of well paid black market paper dealers. Lots of ways for drug runners and any REAL terrorists to slip by in this brave new world of DHS red tape. The only people who will get caught will be the regular citizens who are just trying to comply with all the shit Officials (official criminal enablers) keep piling on them.
