Alcoa strike ends

After eight weeks on the strike lines more than 800 workers for Alcoa Aluminum will be returning to work. The workers at an Alcoa plant in Cleveland approved a contract that will see a wage increase as well as the company matching employee contributions to retirement. Two major issues that resulted in the strike were an easing of requirements for mandatory overtime and an increase in healthcare coverage for retirees.

1. Wow. Didn't even know they were on strike
We have a huge ALCOA plant here and they were not on strike. In fact, they have been hiring lately. Glad the Union and company settled.
