Wal-Mart loses bid to pursue union fight

By The Canadian Press

OTTAWA — The Supreme Court of Canada has refused to hear an appeal by Wal-Mart over the fight to unionize its store in Gatineau, Que.

As is usual in leave-to-appeal cases, the court gave no reasons for its decision.

The world’s largest retailer wanted the courts to force the Quebec labour relations board to order a secret ballot by the store’s employees.

The Quebec Court of Appeal rejected the case earlier.

6. Having seen how the "vrai laine" do things?
The treatment of those of non-French descent, particularly first peoples? Their assinine language policy only adds to it. The good news is that outside of the immediate area of Quebec, the Quebecois are a minortiy.

It would be interesting to see if province of Quebec could be further subdivided so if the Queceois get stupid again so the rest of Canada could remain a contiguous land mass while Quebec itself wastes away.

You obviously haven't.

The First Nations have significant problems, of various sorts, everywhere in Canada. You got some info that would show them to be worse in Quebec? And given the numbers in which immigrants continue to arrive and settle in Quebec, they must have some info you don't, too.

Their assinine language policy only adds to it.

I wonder whether we can all imagine the extent to which people in Quebec care about the opinions of no-nothing foreigners on their domestic affairs ...

The good news is that outside of the immediate area of Quebec, the Quebecois are a minortiy.

What the hell is "the immediate area of Quebec"? Outside the province of Quebec, francophones are a minority. But of course they aren't Québécois. One would expect natives/former residents of one province to be a minority in another province. Head-scratching, this one is.

America to go. Greed pig corps will rule and kill people with toxic products at will and all for money. All politicos will be bought off by the greed mantra.
