Bush approval hits 'rough stability': 34%
Source: USAToday

WASHINGTON — Americans by nearly 2-1 disapprove of the job President Bush is doing at the White House, according to a new USA TODAY/Gallup Poll. He scores a net disapproval rating in every area of the survey, from the economy to terrorism.

His lowest ratings — 30% approval, 67% disapproval — were for his handling of the situation in Iraq.

...

However, Bush hasn't dropped to his lowest ratings ever, as he did in a Newsweek Poll released over the weekend. That survey, taken Wednesday and Thursday, put his approval rating at 28%.

...

Frank Newport, editor-in-chief of the Gallup Poll, cautioned against comparing one firm's survey to another, noting that Newsweek's polls generally have pegged Bush's job approval lower than other organizations.

"The bottom line is that the evidence for a new decline in approval remains quite mixed," says Charles Franklin, a political scientist at the University of Wisconsin at Madison who tracks presidential approval. He says Bush seems to have hit "rough stability around 34%."

1. When his ratings are down to the dirt on the ground.....
then I'll be happy because that's what he is, DIRT!

And not just any dirt either, it's dirt that's been shit on, spit on, pissed on and then baked in the Texas sun for a few months.

Gross enough for ya?!?!?!

9. is that the same as 'a little pregnant'?
rough stability? It's either stable of not - if it is stable then it is holding, if it isn't stable it is on the way up or down.

Who the hell makes up these phrases? Are they paid well? Where can I apply?

4. Notice the quotes. This was absolutely done on purpose to blunt the 28% Newsweek poll:
It's like foraging around to find the handful of Bush supporters who are scientists to refute global warming. Look hard enough (or provide some payola) and loyalists can be found.

20. Looking at the pre-9/11 part
he probably would have been 4 to 6 points lower had the Sept 11, 2001 attack not happened. He gets a 4 to 6 point bonus for incompetence.

24. Hahahaha. Pretty pathetic when the argument is between 34% and 28%....
as if EITHER of those numbers is good!

It's pretty pathetic, though, when you think about the administration looking at a poll showing his approval at 34%...and thinking that's good!
