Biskupic was late add-on to firing list :U.S. attorney had low rating, Wisconsin representative says
Source: JS Online

Washington - U.S. Attorney Steven M. Biskupic was a late add-on to a 2005 list of top federal prosecutors recommended for removal, House Democrat Tammy Baldwin of Madison said Thursday.

~snip~

Baldwin said Biskupic in March 2005 was given a rating of "strikeout." Documents show it was one of the worst of three ratings given to "weak U.S. attorneys who have been ineffectual managers and prosecutors, chafed against administration initiatives, etc."

She told Gonzales that she was concerned that Biskupic was added to a firing list after GOP operatives in Wisconsin were "actively complaining and feeding documents to the White House" about a need for more voter fraud prosecutions.

She asked Gonzales whether White House political strategist Karl Rove had a hand in putting Biskupic on the hit list, and Gonzales answered: "The White House has indicated that they did not play a role in adding or deleting people from the list."

1. Is He the Guy Added to the Boot List By Popular Demand?
His own people insisting he had to go? Or is that yet another political hack?

2. He stopped chafing against admin initiatives and did fake voter fraud cases
and thus saved his job.

3. Also prosecuted a state civil service worker
for supposedly tampering with the process of giving out a state contract, with hopes of making a corruption case that would hurt Democrat Jim Doyle's reelection. That didn't have the desired effect, and the poor state worker, whose only mistake was getting a lower price for the taxpayers, was finally freed by the appeals court after losing her home and reputation.
