FBI agent who interceded in Coulter voter fraud case alleged to be her former boyfriend

EXCLUSIVE: FBI AGENT WHO INTERCEDED IN COULTER VOTER FRAUD CASE, ALLEGED TO BE HER FORMER BOYFRIEND!

Palm Beach Paper Says FBI Agent Attempted to Clear GOP Pundit, BRAD BLOG Guest Blogger Said to be Reason for Fraudulent Info Given on FL Voter Registration Form, Drivers License!

Conservative Coulter Critic Borchers Responds; Says Her '98-'99 Boyfriend Has Been 'Her Personal FBI Resource for Her Own Purposes'...

The Ann Coulter Voter Fraud case, which we've been covering for more than a year (see our Special Coverage Page, including her fraudulent Voter Registration Form, the complaint that started it all, and much more right here: here: http://www.bradblog.com/?page_id=4380) has taken several bizarre twists this morning as Palm Beach Post columnist Jose Lambiet once again steps up with several fresh scoops in the matter, and The BRAD BLOG, who, as of today's article, has now become a corollary in the story, has an exclusive detail or two of our own to offer on the heels of this morning Post report.

First, Lambiet reports that the Palm Beach Sheriffs Office, who had been investigating the matter, have closed the case after an FBI agent interceded on Coulter's behalf. The PBSO had been investigating Coulter's fraudulent, knowing use of the wrong address on her voter registration form, a third-degree felony, as the followed by her knowingly voting at the wrong precinct.

Second, the reason offered by the FBI man for Coulter's use of a phony address on her form --- actually that of her Palm Beach County real estate agent's --was because of claims that she was being stalked by a conservative BRAD BLOG guest blogger!

After the FBI intercession, as Lambiet reports, the PBSO investigator shut down the probe "without interviewing Coulter; a Realtor, whose Indian Road address Coulter used; or neighbors of Coulter's Seabreeze homestead."

"We stand by our detective's work," a PBSO spokesman told Lambiet. "Based on the nature of the allegations, she did as much as she could."

But this gets a lot more bizarre, so keep reading...

The BRAD BLOG spoke this morning with the "stalker" in question, as named by Lambiet, longtime Coulter-critic, and founder of Citizens for Principled Conservatism, Dan Borchers, who tells us that "Ann Coulter used a false allegation as a 'get out of jail free card'" on her voter fraud charges.

The FBI man in question, Supervisory Special Agent Jim Fitzgerald, Borchers tells us, was Coulter's former boyfriend!...

He dated the Coultergeist, and admits that he hates kids.

Maybe if children went around calling John Edwards gay and claiming that the 9/11 widows were just attention-seekers, then Maher might be more fond of them.

47. Except that the other guys *did not *do it. The US Attorneys didn't bring
charges because there was no evidence of Democratic voter fraud--and they got fired for their integrity. Now here we have incontrovertible evidence of voter fraud, and the Justice Department's own FBI steps in to shut down the investigation--just as the DoJ shut down investigations of Republican corruption by firing US Attorneys who dared to follow the evidence where it led.

15. A member of the intelligence community should make intelligent decisions....
and dating Coulter is NOT an intelligent decision. Using your position in the intelligence community to intercede on Coulter's behalf when she commits voter fraud is criminal. Doing so after she stops dating you is f*cking insane.

It's fun to insult Coulter but if ex boyfriends are jeopardizing their careers for her, then the woman has something certain men want. My guess is that she channels her hunger, hate and daddy issues into something SUPER freaky when the lights are off and the wine is flowing.

Assuming she sleeps in a bed...she might have a custom installed cave in her home, where she'd feel more comfortable....

FBI agent or no, I don't understand why the case isn't reopened, now that they realize what's happened. And her BS about being stalked--gimme a break. Lots of celebs have stalkers, but that doesn't allow them to give false information.

Besides, even if she really does have a stalker, couldn't she just breathe fire at him, if he gets too close?

The FBI agent who grossly abused his position as a Federal law enforcement officer for personal advantage, or that Ann Coulter actually had a boyfriend.

Oh, here's the Palm Beach Post column written by Jose Lambiet that is cited in the OP that set the internal FBI investigation in motion.

FBI agent steps into Coulter voting case

By Jose Lambiet

Palm Beach Post Staff Writer

Friday, May 11, 2007

Conservative pundit Ann Coulter has been cleared of allegations that she falsified her Palm Beach County voter's registration and voted illegally — this, after a high-level FBI agent made unsolicited phone calls to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office to vouch for Coulter.

The caller wasn't just any G-man. According to PBSO documents, he was Supervisory Special Agent Jim Fitzgerald, of the FBI Academy's Behavioral Analysis Unit in Quantico, Va. — the closest reality gets to the serial-killer catchers on CBS' Criminal Minds.

So why would an FBI profiler who went after the Unabomber take time from his busy day to even think about a municipal election snafu?

Fitzgerald is mum. But when the bureau heard about this from Page Two, it immediately launched an internal review of the agent's involvement.

"We're looking into it," bureau spokeswoman Ann Todd said.

She declined to say whether Fitzgerald acted on his personal behalf or as an FBI agent or on someone else's orders.

64. This Guy WAS an Important Agent -- Now He's Reduced to Coulter Boot-Licker
I don't think he has any idea what it's cost him to become a national joke as a law enforcement figure. He could have written books that sold big. Now, he's just a corrupt, "whipped," Igor to the monster Coulter has become.

He may even have jeopardized real cases -- terrorism cases -- by conspiring to obstruct justice, just to get back into Annie's ... uh, "good graces."

This is what happens when you fool around with toxic waste.

77. Jeebus loves you.
And Jeebus loves deleted sub-threads.

Sometimes I wish we could continue to see the ignorance of fellow DUers just so we know who to avoid.

82.  Anderson should be running to the Florida Deptment of Law Enforcement after...
PBSO dropped the ball, no?

    <snip>

He (Anderson) confirmed comments given to AP on Friday, that, after going through three different law enforcement agencies, and with new election laws recently passed in Florida, it was difficult for him to pursue the case much further. He had previously suggested that his next stop would be the Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement if PBSO declined to take on the case.
