Unconfirmed report: Gaddafi in coma
Source: Jerusalem Post

Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi was rushed to the hospital Sunday after a blood clot was discovered in his brain, and is now in a coma, the Palestinian news agency Ma'an claimed.

According to the report, Gaddafi's children, who reside in Europe, were recalled to his bedside in Tripoli.

"The condition of the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi is very serious and he was brought unconscious to the hospital," the agency reported.

I wonder about long term stabiity in Libya, if, as it sounds, Gaddafi is not long for this world.

3. great book by peter maas
about CIA agent Edwin P. Wilson who sold plastic explosives to Qaddafi. Book is "Manhunt" the incredible pursuit of a C.I.A. agent turned terrorist. Published in 1987.
I have read that if frozen, C-4 can be kept stable. Book says 21-27 tons were put into barrels labeled "oil drilling mud".

7. I think he has a very pro-American son
and I suspect he'd be the obvious one to succeed his father. Libya is actually quite an interesting place to visit. Americans can feel safe there, there seems to be no internal terrorist problem, and women have a much larger role in society than in, say, Saudi Arabia. When I was there, we saw women at work and in universities. No one is forced to wear a veil, although most wear head-scarves. Kaddafi's own personal bodyguards are women.

8. Looks Like a False Report
TRIPOLI (Reuters) - Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi said on Monday he would sue a news agency that reported he had suffered a brain clot, adding "the Arabs and their masters" were behind the report.

Palestinian news agency Ma'an had earlier quoted an unnamed European source as saying Gaddafi, who is in his mid-sixties, had suffered a brain clot on Sunday and was taken to hospital.

Speaking to reporters at a Tripoli hotel, Gaddafi said: "We will file a case against this news agency in order for anyone not to lie and escape."
