BAGHDAD (CNN) -- Two U.S. soldiers were killed and four were wounded Monday when their dismounted patrol was attacked by small arms fire southeast of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.

In addition, a U.S. soldier died early Monday of non-battle-related causes, the military said..

* BAGHDAD - Two U.S. soldiers were killed and another four wounded when their patrol came under small arms fire southeast of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.

* NEAR BASRA - One Danish soldier was killed in an ambush north of Basra, 550 km (340 miles) southeast of Baghdad, the Danish military said. The patrol was hit by a roadside bomb and small arms fire. Five other soldiers and an interpreter were wounded.

* BAGHDAD - A U.S. soldier died of non-combat causes, the U.S. military said.

2. No one had to coerce the Danes.
Their government has been an enthusiastic supporter.
