World Bank President Losing White House Backing
Whtie House Official Says 'All Options Are on the Table'

A senior White House official tells ABC News that "all options are on the table" regarding Paul Wolfowitz's future and "it is an open question" whether he should remain president of the World Bank.

"If you don't have board support and you don't have staff support, it is hard to get anything done," the official tells ABC News.

This is a significant reversal on the part of the White House, which until now has backed Wolfowitz despite sharp criticism over his giving his girlfriend and bank employee Shaha Riza a $47,000 pay raise.

The official said the White House is considering two main questions regarding Wolfowitz: how he handled his girlfriend's pay raise and whether the former deputy defense secretary should remain president of the World Bank.

7. They have to cut ties with him
The Europeans and other sane members of the World Bank are calling for Wolfowitz's resignation. I'm anticipating it can't be far off. The White House has to start letting go. Don't they? One would think...

13. Yeah, but what does he have on them?
Or did they get Blackwater to steal it from him so they can cut him loose?

8. Does this mean Bush is going to get rid of Gonzales?
"If you don't have board support and you don't have staff support, it is hard to get anything done," the official tells ABC News.

All of Gonzales' aides and officials have left. He doesn't have the support of the prosecuting attorneys.

Sounds like Gonzales is next.

9. Hmmm, this says the WH knows it is holding a losing hand...
they either fold their support of Wolfowitz or lose control of the World Bank and it's Presidency ergo the swift reverse action.

Man, they are throwing their own under the bus in an ever increasing level, the house of cards is falling faster and faster.

11. Exciting stuff here.
Prediction: watch Paul Wolfowitz fall apart, after he starts packing his things.
I've seen some recent photos of the old boy, and he's riding the Jaggedy Edge.....
....just watch.
