Daub to tour state as he considers run for Senate

The possible Republican candidates for U.S. Senate in Nebraska are stacking up as former Omaha Mayor Hal Daub today became the latest to test the waters for a 2008 bid.

Daub said he would begin raising money for a race and embark on a "listening tour" of all 93 counties.

He did not rule out - as he had previously - challenging Republican incumbent Chuck Hagel in the primary.

"I will not rule in or out any of the possibilities I might think about," Daub said at a press conference in the Benson neighborhood, his childhood stomping grounds.
