Roadside bomb strikes MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO


BAGHDAD — Six MND-B Soldiers and one interpreter were killed when an improvised explosive device detonated in the western section of the Iraqi capital May 19.

During the past week, elements of this unit have found numerous weapons caches including grenades, small arms, ammunition and IED making material, as well as a possible vehicle IED and a safe house used by insurgents to plan attacks and torture innocent Iraqis. Finding these weapons caches helps reduce the threat of insurgent attacks and continues to aid in providing a more secure and safe living environment for the Iraqi people.

13th SC(E), LSA ANACONDA PAO

LSA ANACONDA, Iraq – One 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) Soldier was killed and two were wounded in an improvised explosive device attack against their tactical vehicle near Ad Diwaniyah at approximately 12 a.m. May 19.

The wounded Soldiers were evacuated to a nearby military medical treatment facility.

Names of the Soldiers are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin and release by the Department of Defense.

BAGHDAD - Seven American soldiers and a translator were killed in separate attacks in Baghdad and a city south of the capital, the U.S. military said Sunday.

Six of the Americans and the translator died Saturday in a bombing in western Baghdad, the military said. The soldiers were from the Multinational Division-Baghdad.

A soldier from the 13th Sustainment Command was killed and two were wounded when a blast struck their vehicle Saturday near Diwaniyah, a mostly Shiite city 80 miles south of Baghdad, the command said.

On Sunday, a suicide bomber exploded a tanker truck near an Iraqi police checkpoint outside a market west of Baghdad, killing at least two officers and injuring nine people, police said.

Is that to differentiate from when the US tortures SUSPECTED Iraqis?

As one retired military commentator said recently, there are multiple civil wars going on in Iraq/Baghdad now.

Everyone of every political or military persuasion now "living" in (better described as existing in) Baghdad must be mentally ill to some degree - living under constant fear of violent death. It is one huge, urban insane asylum, and a large portion of the inmates are armed and dangerous.

Not POST traumatic stress syndrome, but CURRENT traumatic stress syndrome.
