Huckabee to skip (Jimmy) Carter conference
Source: AP

LITTLE ROCK --
Republican presidential candidate and southern Baptist minister Mike Huckabee said Tuesday he will skip a Baptist conference organized by Jimmy Carter after the former president called the Bush administration the "worst in history" in international relations.

The former Arkansas governor said he would not participate in the Baptist Covenant Program Celebration in Atlanta in January, scheduled to feature Carter and former President Clinton.

"Withdrawing from the gathering is one of the few ways that I can show my disappointment in the comments that were made this weekend," Huckabee said in a statement.

Huckabee criticized Carter for a statement he made to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette for a Saturday story in which he said: "I think as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this administration has been the worst in history."

That comment, Huckabee said, "violated an unspoken code that you don't make personal attacks on others who currently hold the job. You just don't."

7. We could take up a collection and pay him to shut up permanently.
All he wants is to stay on the public tit. He's a sham and an embarrassment to Arkansas.

Nobody buys his "kinda-middle-of-the-road crap. Hey, did any of these jagoffs ever think it might actually be to their benefit to criticize the worst president in history? What a bunch of pussies.

14. Ever wonder what other "unspoken codes" there might be about the presidency?
Like "white anglo-saxon protestant males only need apply"?

Or maybe "don't mess with the Cuban mafia"?

Perhaps "the military-industrial complex owns your ass for the duration"?

How many "unspoken codes" of the U.S. presidency can you describe?

I think people across this nation need to have a nice long chat about these "unspoken codes" well before the next election. Since they're not enumerated in the constitution or any federal statutes, I do think we need to arrive at a common understanding of exactly what they might be and when they apply.

15. Are they making these "unspoken codes" as they go along?

I seem to remember when Clinton was in office that was all the GOP did. Or does the code only reply when theres a Republican in office?
