ReutersAMSTERDAM, May 31 (Reuters) - A Bosnian Serb officer accused of ethnic cleansing during the 1992-95 Bosnia war has been arrested, a spokesman at the tribunal for crimes in the former Yugoslavia said on Thursday.
Zdravko Tolimir is a former aide of Bosnian Serb commander Ratko Mladic, one of the top fugitives wanted by the United Nations tribunal in The Hague.
A spokesman for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia could not verify whether Tolimir was arrested in Bosnia, Serbia, or in another location.
"We understand that he has some health issues and we will try to assess what these issues are in order to make arrangements for his transportation to The Hague," the spokesman said.
