Coffin Delays Clinton Fundraiser ...Bomb Squad Called To Investigate
Source: kcra

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A fundraising event for Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was delayed three hours while the Sacramento County bomb squad investigated a coffin brought to the area by anti-war protesters.

Anti-war activists Virginia and Stephen Pearcy, who made headlines in February 2005 for hanging an effigy of a soldier on their Land Park area home, brought a flag-draped coffin as a protest against United States involvement in Iraq.

Shortly before 6 p.m. Thursday, the Secret Service began to conduct a sweep of the area and asked to look inside the coffin. Pearcy refused, stating that they had no probable cause to do so. This prompted the Secret Service to call in local law enforcement and a bomb squad

Former state Treasurer Phil Angelides, along with about 120 other guests set to attend the fundraiser, had to wait several hours before being ushered through a neighbor's back yard to get to the event.

3. They're probably democrats, anyway.
All they have to do is threaten to bring in a drug-sniffing dog!

That's what they want to do around here if they want to search your car and don't have any cause.

4. That's why it's important to always keep cayenne pepper in your car...
it nullifies the "detective" skills of those four-legged "officers"

7. Next time they should bring 3,500 coffins to any rally held by anyone
that is opposed to defunding the war.

8. The coffin didn't delay the fundraiser - the police delayed the fundraiser.
Meanwhile, this was another excuse for the Reichwing to divide the Left. The GOP is trying to get Democrats angry with the anti-war wing of the party.
We should not fall for this Rovian divide-and-conquer strategy.

9. The antiwar movement is not the one that voted to continue funding the war
Democrats can't go on forever blaming Rove, or Nader, for their own mistakes.

10. I can blame (GOP-funded) Barf Nadir and KKKarl Rove...
for trying to divide the Left.
Barf Nadir has always worked hand-in-hand with the Bush regime to divide and destroy the Democrats.
DU should see that fact, as well.

11. And, it's still true: a vote for Barf Nadir was/is a vote for Bush and the GOP.
That was/is the reality of the situation (forced upon us).

12. The Democratic Congress had a mandate to bring the war to close. What did the Dems do?
Dance the BOHICA to Bush's tune!

GOP blames Clinton for their failures. Democrats blame Nader and Rove for theirs.

Don't we have any grown ups willing to take responsibility for their actions, and correct them when they are wrong, or is the country in the hands of bipartisan sociopaths?
