By Tom Perry and Yara Bayoumy

BEIRUT, June 13 (Reuters) - Lebanese anti-Syrian parliamentarian Walid Eido was killed on Wednesday, with at least nine other people, when a bomb ripped through his car in western Beirut, security sources said.

8. Lebanese liberals have 2 options
Lebanese liberals have 2 options - emigrate to free countries, or fight to the death with bloodthirsty fanatics.

From Toronto, Canada, I have made my choice.

6. Beirut shaken by loud explosion, MP Walid Eido Killed
BEIRUT, June 13, 2007 - A loud explosion was heard on Wednesday afternoon in Beirut's Manara district, residents said.

The blast between the Long Beach and Sporting Club swimming facilities in the area demolished a car and wounded an undisclosed number of people.

A car was in flames and black smoke was seen rising from a narrow street off the main waterfront in Manara. The Lebanese Broadcasting Corp. TV station said the explosion came from a bomb-rigged car, a method that has been used to assassinate opponents of Syria over the past two years.

MP Walid Eido, his eldest son and four other people were killed in a seafront blast in the Lebanese capital on Wednesday, his party's television station said.

Eido, the chairman of parliament's defence committee, his eldest son Khaled, his two bodyguards and two civilians were killed, said Future Television.
