Reputed Klansman convicted in '64 case
By EMILY WAGSTER PETTUS, Associated Press Writer

JACKSON, Miss. - A federal jury on Thursday convicted reputed Klansman James Ford Seale of kidnapping and conspiracy in the 1964 deaths of two black teenagers in southwest Mississippi.

Seale, 71, had pleaded not guilty to charges related to the deaths of Charles Eddie Moore and Henry Hezekiah Dee. The 19-year-olds disappeared from Franklin County on May 2, 1964, and their bodies were found later in the Mississippi River.

Federal prosecutors indicted Seale in January almost 43 years after the slayings.

10. Still sends chills. Also, "Letter From Birmingham Jail"
http://almaz.com/nobel/peace/MLK-jail.html

I remain stunned at the body of work of Dr. King. Anyone who doubts the power of the written word ought to check our Dr. King's writings. Up there with Lincoln at the very top of the ability to use the written and spoken word. I remember where I was down to the smallest detail when I first heard Dr. King had been shot and killed. Would he were still alive today, but at least we have his magnificent words. For that, I am very pleased.

6. Yeah! I'm glad he's found guilty. MSNBC will air the documentary tonight about this.
I saw it a few days ago and had no idea until seeing it that it was the brother(Mr. Moore) and the film maker David Ridgen who really got the ball rolling again to bring that scumbag to trial.
