Osborne aids fundraising for Bruning's Senate bid

Former congressman and Nebraska football coach Tom Osborne has sent out a fundraising letter for Attorney General Jon Bruning's bid for the Republican U.S. Senate nomination.

In the letter, Osborne says that he appreciated Bruning's "loyalty" when Osborne sought the GOP nomination for governor last year and that he believes Bruning would work hard for Nebraska.

Bruning supported Osborne's unsuccessful bid for governor, while U.S. Sen. Chuck Hagel endorsed Osborne's opponent, Gov. Dave Heineman.

Osborne's letter is an early indication that a GOP primary battle could divide key members of the party.

Even though the former NU football coach turned congressman didn't win the governor's race, he still has plenty of clout. This is BIG news here.

1. Well, no surprise there. Pure revenge on osborne's part. The R party in Nebraska
is undergoing civil war.

2. I don't know about civil war
What are the sides? The differences are personal and not ideological. Both sides are pretty bad if you ask me. It would be nice if the Dems could run someone credible.
