Suspicious Package Found At Argosy

Emergency Crews have been called to the Argosy Hotel and Casino.

9 News has learned that police are investigating a suspicious package that was left at the casino complex.

Police are looking for a woman who may have left it there.

They believe she was driving a blue Jeep Wrangler with a rear tire cover that has an image of the Tasmanian Devil cartoon character on it.

It has been confirmed the bomb squad and several police units are on the scene, but no other details are being released.

I was just in Las Vegas, and can imagine a lot of people in those casinos seriously debating whether to evacuate or to keep on wishin' with a pair of kings...sort of upping the ante, as it were.

7. Excuse me, but
is this anywhere near a city or town. A lot of us don't know what the hell the Argosy Hotel is and Ohio is a large state with lots of large cities. Plus many of us have a lot of family and friends in Ohio. A clue would be nice.

If you wanna do alot of damage a place like a large casino would be ideal, especially ones with lots of people crammed together. It's probably nothing though, because they would have picked a busier night.

Update @ 10:38 p.m.

A woman triggered a bomb scare at the Argosy Casino Wednesday evening when she accidentally left her purse inside a restroom.

Officers say the purse had a pipe inside.

Investigators checked it out and determined that it was not a threat.
