5. "No further details available." -- Doesn't sound too good.
If she was alive and with him when he was arrested, don't you think they'd be saying so? I am hoping within my heart ofhearts they will still find this little girl safe and unhurt.

6. From the BBC - doesn't sound like he's the kidnapper
Officers from the specialist and violent crimes unit searched a property for several hours, according to a local resident.

But the police were being cautious and refusing to give details about the man arrested, said the website.

Portuguese Chief Inspector Olegario de Sousa told BBC News that he did not believe the arrests were directly connected to Madeleine's kidnapping.

He added that he could not confirm reports that the arrests were connected to charges of attempting to extort money from the McCanns.

7. I can't believe that I have heard nothing about the
negligence of the parents of this child. I raised five children, and never left them alone. They should be held accountable. Yes, I know they are suffering horribly at this loss; but, so does a drunk driver grieve when he or she is guilty of killing a close friend. We still hold them accountable.

Have I missed this somewhere? Is anyone talking about their negligence? Just today I heard that there were three (?) children in that room, her siblings, both younger than she. If I heard correctly, this is horrible. But, gosh, they were only 200 yds. away, make that 600 feet, and they could see the door, which I'm sure they stared at constantly while they were dining. Does anyone know how long their dinner lasted? Frankly, I have been outraged ever since this horror occurred.
