No-Confidence Vote Looms Over Iraq's PM
BAGHDAD, July 7, 2007(CBS)

For four years, Iraqis have been waiting in lines at gas stations in Baghdad, waiting for their lives to get better. But, as CBS News chief foreign correspondent Lara Logan reports, the situation has gotten worse and their government is now in crisis.

That has led senior Iraqi leaders to demand drastic change. CBS News has learned that on July 15, they plan to ask for a no-confidence vote in the Iraqi parliament as the first step to bringing down the government of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.

~snip~

Leaders of the Iraq Project claim they have the necessary votes to force al-Maliki to resign, but that has yet to be tested in parliament. For now, the U.S. is still standing by the Iraqi leader – publicly at least.

3. It all hinges on the Hydrocarbon Law...
Maliki will be propped up until and unless it happens. They got too much invested to have it all fall apart so close to passage.
My scenario?
They have Maliki declare a National Emergency, and Martial Law, and he signs the Hydrocarbon Law to get the Americans to withdraw. Exxon will immediately sue in the World Court for its new contracts with Iraq to be upheld for the next 30 years with American troops to guarantee compliance while we steal their oil, or should I say OUR oil under THEIR soil.

6. Wow...and here I thought things were just peachy...
The only answer to this problem is to send at least another $50 Billion to the country in hopes of fixing this so called "no-confidence" problem.
