Part of Times Square shut down in bomb scare
13 minutes ago

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A section of New York City's Times Square was closed down on Tuesday as police investigated what they described as a possible bomb scare.

Several blocks of Seventh Avenue, including along the front of the Reuters building, were closed to traffic as police investigated the suspicious item.

A Reuters witness said the suspicious item was a red bag and the bomb squad had arrived to inspect it.

1. That'sjsut great. Every time a vacationing mom leaves a diaper bag behind,
Fox Noise will be there to terrorize us again.

3. but, it was a RED BAG! That is just so full of meaning!
I have no clue what meaning, but there must be one.

Are they going to arrest mr. forgetful for shutting down Times Square? That would be par for the "coarse" for the Homeland scrutiny assholes.

4. I saw an old boot on the road the other day.
There was no antenna protruding from it, so all was well.

5. No need anymore for a lost and found depot
In days of old, if you forgot your bag somewhere, you'd have to hope that someone took it to the nearest lost-and-found depot. Now you just have to follow the sirens.
