Source: More McCain staff to exit next week
Source: CNN

WASHINGTON (CNN) – CNN has learned more staff members from Sen. John McCain’s struggling presidential bid are expected to depart the campaign Monday, the latest in a string of setbacks for the Arizona Republican’s once surefire candidacy.

A source tells CNN’s Candy Crowley at least one senior staffer is among those who plan to call it quits early next week.

The news comes days after McCain’s top two strategists were forced out following bleak second quarter fundraising numbers and excessive spending that left the campaign with a paltry $2 million cash on hand and $1.75 million in debt.

The campaign must officially report its financial status to the Federal Elections Commission by this Sunday.

5. Well, I'm glad he won't be around for the primaries.
His campaign, from himself on down, seems to define "implosion."

6. Bob Dole redux
I was actually hoping that he would stick around and get the nomination. There would be no way in which he could sell his pile of BS ... if he could survive a national campaign at all. I would have like a second run from a Bob Dole type of misfit.

8. I know that one shouldn't be so damn happy at the misfortune of
another but DAMN, COULDN'T HAPPEN TO A SLEEZIER BASTARD. Unless it was Dick Cheney that is.

Chimpy doesn't count. He's never been a big player in this show, just the front man.
