SYDNEY, Australia (AP) -- A man went on a rampage with a stolen armored personnel carrier through suburban Sydney on Saturday, crashing into several mobile phone towers, telecommunications buildings and an electricity substation before being arrested.

The man led officers on a 90-minute chase across six western suburbs before the vehicle stalled as it was being driven toward another mobile phone tower, New South Wales police said in a statement.

Thank God for people like this guy. If they weren't around to provide comic relief with their destructive idiocy, the news would be way too depressing to read.

3. At least they didn't shoot him dead
I remember as a kid living in San Diego watching the news about a guy that stole a national guard tank. He got chased by the police for some period of time before ending up killed. Tried finding the Union Trib article but found this in a pinch from Wiki:

4. Can't these people come up with anything original? Jeez...
A guy did the same thing in San Diego some years ago.

Shawn Timothy Nelson (b.1960? - d.May 17, 1995) was a US Army veteran and unemployed plumber who, at the age of 35 and under the influence of methamphetamine, stole an M-60 Patton Tank from a National Guard Armory in San Diego, California and went on a rampage on May 17, 1995 destroying cars, fire hydrants, and even an RV, before being shot dead by police.
