Another China-made toothpaste recalled: FDA

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Dent Fresh USA Inc. is recalling
fluoride mint toothpaste made in China because it may contain
a chemical used to make automobile antifreeze, the U.S. Food
and Drug Administration said on Monday.

Dent Fresh, based in Miami, said its 9 ounce fluoride mint
toothpaste product may contain diethylene glycol (DEG), a
kidney and liver toxin and a central nervous system depressant.

The FDA said it was not aware of any U.S. reports of illnesses
or injuries from Dent Fresh toothpaste containing the chemical.

4. IIRC There's No Way To Tell.

Food labeling laws do not require a country of origin listing. I believe this was specifically fought against by big-food because it would be such a hassle :eyes: to them.

now I don't know if my baby daughter is going to be poisioned by her toothapaste, something she eats or lead paint on her toys. This is a truly criminal, 3rd world state of affairs we are in now... :mad:

Or so I have heard. It causes a painful death. You have to be careful about it, because I gather pets and young children like the taste.

I wonder if this has anything to do with using it in toothpaste?
