Extension on Subpoenas

The Bush administration has asked for more time to respond to subpoenas from the Senate Judiciary Committee related to the National Security Agency’s program of wiretapping without warrants, and the panel has agreed, said a committee spokeswoman, Tracy Schmaler. Today was to have been the deadline for the administration to respond to the subpoenas issued by the Senate committee late last month to the White House, the National Security Council, Vice President Cheney’s office and the Justice Department. Senator Patrick J. Leahy, Democrat of Vermont and the committee’s chairman, agreed to extend the deadline in response to two letters from lawyers for the president and the vice president

2. What the hell do they have planned for Sept ( or prolly end of Aug?)
Makes me very nervous that they seem to be banking on saving their asses by delaying just a bit more every time they can.

8. They Have a "New Product" to Introduce In September
Most likely an updated version of the one they introduced in September 2001.

They are going to war with Iran, and they need a pretext for it.

10. It Would Seem That Asking for More Time
is a way of acknowledging that the subpoenas are legitimate and that they intend to comply with them. To me, that outweighs the delay.
