Senator's testimony would show D.C. service was legal, she says

Thursday, July 19, 2007By Bill Walsh

WASHINGTON -- Sen. David Vitter, R-La., has been careful not to admit he paid for sex in the Washington call-girl scandal, but he could find himself in the witness chair nonetheless.

Deborah Jeane Palfrey, the so-called "D.C. Madam," said Wednesday that if the federal racketeering and money laundering case against her goes to trial, she would likely call Vitter to testify in her defense.

"It can only help my case," Palfrey said in a telephone interview from her California home.

<snip>

A subpoena from the defense team would likely rekindle interest in Vitter's role in the still-unfolding call-girl scandal. Legal experts say he would have little choice but to show up at court and testify.

1. How nice.....
I don't want the flame of Vitter's hypocritical transgressions to be extinguished too quickly. I hope they drag this "do as I say, not as I do", Republican through the mud again and again until his name is synonymous with sleaze.

May the "D.C.Madam" hoist each and every one of these hypocritical bastards on their own petard. :)

2. that would be ironic
put under oath... would he tell the truth or perjure? Were he a normal person, I would bet that he would regret his words (and column) during the Clinton impeachment debacle ... but somehow I seriously doubt that he sees the irony.

8. she obviouisly expects him to perjure himself

clearly he would lie thru his teeth and claim that he paid $300 an hour for the hooker to hold his hand

anybody who thinks men pay women $300 an hour to talk is very very naive, but we even had such an ignorant poster on this forum a few days ago

11. that was my thought -
and he finds himself in the ironic box as a result. wouldn't be as ironic had he not sought to be so public in his criticism of President Clinton. Did I say "box" - perhaps I should say hole - as in the one he has already begun to dig for himself.

4. PERFECT.
Keeps the issue alive, keeps his hypocrisy on the front burner, and will force him to commit perjury 'like Clinton' or admit he paid for sex.

HILARIOUS how very swift karma is.
