Task Force Lightning Soldier attacked
Multi-National Division – North PAO

TIKRIT, Iraq – One Task Force Lightning Soldier died as a
result of injuries sustained from an explosion near his
vehicle while conducting operations in Diyala province,
Friday.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending next of
kin notification and release by the Department of Defense.

1. "task force lighning"???? wtf...is there an officer in charge of naming these things?
sorry to interrupt a solemn thread, but this always bothers me.
They try to make all these macho officious names for operations that are basically offering up our good men and women as cannon fodder.

2. Read the list of killed/wounded in Iraq and see how many are listed
As 'by an explosive device NEAR their vehicle'. Not having appropriately armored vehicles is criminal actions from this administration....IMPEACH AND PROSECUTE. Get those troops out of Iraq NOW.
