Ex - GOP figure pleads guilty in sex case
Edited on Tue Jul-24-07 05:47 PM by Dr.Phool
Source: Cleveland Plain Dealer (Cleveland.com)

The former head of the Michigan Federation of Young Republicans admitted today that he sexually abused a colleague during a national convention here last summer.

Michael Flory, a 32-year-old attorney from Jackson, Mich., pleaded guilty to sexual battery on the day he was to stand trial for rape.

The teary-eyed college student he overpowered in a downtown hotel room gasped and dabbed her eyes as Flory replied to Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Peter Corrigan's question, "Are you indeed guilty?"

"Sure - yeah," Flory said.

Corrigan set sentencing for Sept. 13. Flory faces a sentence that ranges from probation to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

2. Bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!
When you pretend you dislike what is perfectly normal these things happen.
I just love watching hypocrites exposed. I also give thanks that no one I know is a member of the so called party of moral and family values.

Come on Larry - expose some more of them.

4. I just read the full story
The victim said that all his cronies in the Repuke Party have been smearing her on blogs and around Michigan ever since she filed charges.

And at sentencing, she hopes to present witnesses to more sexual misconduct.

They said he was a rising star in the Repuke party. Maybe he'll be Alberto Gonzales replacement.

5. I have often wondered......
if there are a number of women in the republican party that put up with sexual harassment in discrimination. These people have no problem pushing this loyalty thing to very edge and these women rush to their defense when they are caught abusing women.

This might account for the meteoric rise of so many young inexperienced blond cuties to prominent, powerful, and high paying positions.

I'm just sayin'

18. You should consider changing the "Good" to "Greedy"
since that's half of the equation...

"Greedy Old Perverts"!

I'm considering even changing that to "Greedy Oligarchic Perverts", perhaps more accurate but it's a little cumbersome.

Thanks for making my day!

8. Believe it or not, but this cretin is yet ANOTHER of McCain's national operatives
http://www.gwu.edu/~action/2008/mccain/mccain102406miy.html

ALEXANDRIA, VA - Today Straight Talk America announced the formation of the Michigan Young Leaders Team. The team consists of 27 Michigan Republican young leaders, including the chairmen of both leading political youth organizations in the state.

The Michigan Young Leaders Team:

Dan Carlson Michigan Federation of College Republicans (MFCR) Chairman

Mike Flory Michigan Federation of Young Republicans Chairman

Trevor Pitsley Michigan Republican Party Youth Coalitions Director

Did McCain go out of his way to staff his team with as many sex offenders as possible?

21. No kidding. I had the same thought. Appropriate response if the question were, "Would you like a
beer?" But hardly appropriate if the question is, "Are you guilty of rape?"

How arrogant and evil do you have to be to not only be a Chickenhawk, championing others to go to die for your leaders' lies, while you sit safe and sound, but you are also such an evil, sadistic, animal that you sexually attack a woman peer?

So much for 'family values'!

17. republicons are not only sex deviants, they are mean and bitter and averse to
accepting responsibility for their actions -- just like the Deserter-in-Chief, Commander AWOL Bush -- their hero.

15. I wonder how many Republicans are sex offenders.
I remember Phil Giordano (Lieberman's Republican Senate opponent in 2000) being busted for exposing himself to children.

Funny how the party of morals and family values often has the biggest skeletons hiding in the closet.

20. It's probably because the party organization right now consists mostly of sociopaths.
I mean that clinically: I mean the current GOP selects for people who do not have a conscience and who desire to have power over others. People like that often seek out inappropriate sex. People of that description also often abuse drugs and alcohol, and we've been seeing that among Republicans lately, too.
