Terror Bulletin Cites Milwaukee as Test Airport
Source: NBC

MILWAUKEE - NBC News has obtained a bulletin from the Transportation Security Administration suggesting that there has been a surge in suspicious incidents at several U.S. airports.

The memo mentions several cities, including Milwaukee. San Diego, Houston and Baltimore are also noted.

The memo suggests that terrorists are conducting pre-attack security probes, pushing the limits of what they can bring through screening checkpoints undetected.

According to the NBC memo, some of the items confiscated during the rehearsals include wires, switches, pipes and materials used to make IEDs, or improvised explosive devices.

1. those terrorists you know, they're so wiley, scientific and methodical
testing, examining, prototyping, pushing the envelope, probing, rehearsing even. And of course commercial aviation is the ONLY target.

Puhleeeze! Does anyone still seriously believe this "terror threat" crap?

3. Are they invisible?
How do you "bring" stuff through security without getting caught as they are confiscated? You'd think the actual news would be all these would-be terrorists who they've rounded up during this "surge" of "rehearsal" incidents.

5. "Screening" isn't clear. The news media are so vague sometimes.

Does screening include checked bags?

Also, I wonder about "pipes"...

9. Follow-up..
Still no word on whether TSA got the "block cheese" reports wrong, too, but the money quote comes from the local TSA official in San Diego: “We get these all the time,” he told the Union-Tribune. “Almost all the time they prove false.”

8. Caught != arrested.

Just because security takes the item(s) away from you does not mean you get arrested. Think water bottle.

4. LMAO
"Passengers who spoke with TODAY'S TMJ4 at Mitchell International Airport said they are accustomed to these types of threats and found the use of cheese blocks amusing."

I live just down the road from Mitchell International and I am not exceptionally worried. Bush pushed al-Qaeda hard today. Seems like a likely time for him and DHS to ratchet up the fear.

6. Fear
bu$h is pushing the fear button again. he wants more troops in Iraq. Whatever excuse the former crackhead can use he will.

The true believers are so worried about bu$h losing the grip of power in the next election. They have to keep the fear level ratcheted up. If the poll numbers are showing bu$h and his conservnazi party in the toilet, I would expect them to pull off an attack on the US. Trust is one thing I do not give the conservanazi regime.

I'm sure the conservanazis on hate radio, charlie sick sikes and butthead belling will be screaming about this activity, how bu$h has saved us, it's all the Clintons' fault and those damn liberal Democrats are in cahoots with Al Qaeda.

BTW, bu$hie boy, where's Osama Been Forgotten? :o :evilfrown:

7. Dude, welcome. But there's no reason for the weird
linguistics in your post. You can call it as you see it here. ;-) It's better that way. :hi:

You can express yourself however you like, of course, but "conservanazis" sounds a little harsh. It would be great if we could all use our heads and not resort to such juvenile name calling as happens in talk radio.

From your screen name, I guess I can understand your frustration though. :hi:

10. we're about half an inch away from Bush showing clips of TEAM AMERICA WORLD POLICE
as evidence al Qaedas resurgence.

How transparent does it have to get before the media calls bullshit?

Did they ever notice that their faxes from 'Homeland Security' come from Karl Roves fax number?

That's where cheese comes from.
