AFP - 44 minutes ago

WASHINGTON (AFP) - -..................

Leahy said that Gonzales, who as head of the Department of Justice is the top US law enforcement official, has one week to correct his testimony or risk being investigated himself.
...........

Senator Arlen Specter, the top Republican on the Judiciary Committee, offered only a lukewarm defense for Gonzales.

"There's no doubt ... that the Department of Justice would be much better off without him," he said on CBS.

.......
Democratic Senator Russell Feingold, interviewed on Fox, pressed for the appointment of a special prosecutor in the case.

2. If you didn't know, EVERY witness before Congress gets this opportunity.

It is only those who persist in defiance who are criminally prosecuted.

It's not a special policy by Congress just for him. (Edited to specify Congress. Wouldn't fly in a court.)

3. Can those Senators who support Gonzales be considered accessories

in the coming prosecution?

This would make them vote the right way. They may think twice as they may be considered 'involved'

4. Great point Bambino, the complicity, the aiding and abetting,
accessories before during and after the fact....lots of hands in DC are dripping with blood, and not just republicans. If your Rep. has not signed on to House Res. 333 to impeach Cheney

EVEN IF THE ARE DEMOCRATS, doesn't that make them complicit in the destruction of our Constitution???

Save your Rep. from prison, make sure he/she signs on to Kucinich's resolution. 15 brave, heroic Americans have already done so. We only need a few more!!
