Punishments announced in Tillman case
Source: AP

WASHINGTON — The Army on Tuesday reprimanded a retired general for the chain of errors that followed the friendly-fire death in 2004 of Army Ranger Pat Tillman. The Army referred to a special panel whether he should also be demoted, a document obtained by The Associated Press said.

4. I'm so tired of this story, and I know that's wrong ...
I wish I didn't feel this way. But I swear, it's just one of these stories that seems to be such a brilliant metaphor for how this entire "war" has gone. Just how many single ways can an institution COMPLETELY FUCK UP a story any way.

12. A reprimand is really going to screw up a retired generals career...
I think responsibility for the Tillman assassination goes all the way to the WH.

17. It was just a series of mistakes and misunderstandings. It was an axident.
The 3 bullets at close range. The burning of his diary and clothes. The ordering of silence. And the timely PROPAGANDA AND RECRUITING FESTIVAL that ensued. A few mistakes. Sort of like the whole war. I wonder what Rummy's doing these days. I think Steve Cambone slithered off into the tall grass, too.

18. Waxman is asking questions tomorrow
Waxman wants Rummy, but he is refusing to talk. Of course the Army won't do anything, they are the criminals and the cover-uppers the entire time.
