US Airways said on Friday that it reached a tentative contract agreement with the airline's fleet service employees union.
Among other things, the agreement would establish new wages for the airline's baggage handlers and ramp personnel. Terms were not disclosed.
The deal is subject to ratification by the airline's 7,700 fleet service employees, which is expected to take three to four weeks. It becomes effective within 30 days after ratification.
The airline and the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers union had been in negotiations for more than a year, and began using a mediation board last week.
