Ohio Soldiers Head To Iraq
Ohio Soldiers Head To Iraq
January 2, 2004

Family and friends are giving about 1,100 Ohio National Guard soldiers a red, white and blue send-off over the next few days.

One hundred and twelve members of the Guard's 216th engineering battalion are being deployed to Iraq.

They met this morning for a send-off in the Toledo suburb of Oregon.

Ceremonies are planned around the state in the next week as more members of the battalion and other units get ready to head overseas.

1. What someone should do...
A state should rename themselves Iraq like maybe Texas. That way all of the troops would be sent to Texas.
