Senator’s Office Is Burglarized

HARTFORD, Aug. 26 (AP) — Burglars broke into Senator Christopher J. Dodd’s office here late Saturday, taking undisclosed items and leaving evidence at the scene, the police said.

Investigators declined to say what was stolen or what was left behind at the office, which is on Lewis Street.

Sgt. Reggie Allen told WFSB-TV that the police want to immediately process “properties that were left on the scene.”

Jamie Radice, a spokeswoman for Mr. Dodd, confirmed the break-in, but said she was not sure what was taken.

The police said they believe that the suspects jumped from the roof of a building next door onto the fire escape of the building that houses Mr. Dodd’s office and broke in through a second-story window. The burglary occurred between 10 and 11 p.m., they said.

An arab guy across the street who runs a store had his window busted 7 times within the past year...and a few days after Dennis'. Crime is completely out of control. We sure could use some more cops on the street and some better education rather than blowing up the world over there in Iraq while stripping away our rights here at home. Priorities people.
