Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell repeatedly declined yesterday to say whether he thinks embattled Idaho Sen. Larry Craig should resign, but he did call Craig's conduct in a Minneapolis bathroom "unforgivable."

When pressed about his Republican colleague's future, McConnell acknowledged that many in his caucus believe Craig should resign.

"We have acted promptly to begin the process of dealing with this conduct," said Kentucky's senior senator. "We will see what happens in the coming days."

Apparently Vitter was at some GOP meeting the day after his revelation and he received a standing ovation. When is Craig's standing ovation?
