Roadside bomb kills 3 U.S. soldiers in Baghdad
05 Sep 2007 11:10:51 GMT

BAGHDAD, Sept 5 (Reuters) - Three U.S. soldiers were
killed in Baghdad by a roadside bomb of a type which
the U.S. military says neighbouring Iran is supplying to
Shi'ite militias in Iraq to attack American troops.

The U.S. military said in a statement that two soldiers
were wounded in the attack on a U.S. patrol in eastern
Baghdad on Tuesday. It blamed the casualties on an
explosively formed penetrator (EFP), a particularly
deadly armour-piercing bomb.

Separately, the military also announced the death of a
fourth soldier who was killed on Tuesday in western
Baghdad. Two soldiers were wounded in that attack.

(CBS/AP) Four American soldiers were killed and four others were wounded in two attacks in Baghdad, the U.S. command said Wednesday, as a bomb in a Shiite neighborhood of the capital killed at least 11 Iraqis.

Three American troops were killed and two were wounded by a roadside bomb in east Baghdad, the military said in a statement. According to the statement, the bomb was an explosively-formed penetrator, a type which the U.S. says Iran has been supplying to Shiite militias, a charge the Iranians deny.

The U.S. said the blast occurred Tuesday in east Baghdad but gave no further details.

However, a U.S. Humvee was seen burning Tuesday at an intersection in Mashtal section of eastern Baghdad.

BAGHDAD - Three separate attacks in Baghdad killed four U.S. soldiers and at least 11 civilians, U.S. and Iraqi officials said Wednesday.

Three of the soldiers died after their Humvee was hit with an explosively formed penetrator, a type of bomb that the U.S. alleges Iran has been supplying to Shiite militias. Iran denies the accusation.

AP Television News video of the bombing Tuesday in the predominantly Shiite Mashtal neighborhood of eastern Baghdad showed the twisted wreckage of the Humvee burning wildly as soldiers hosed it down with water. Two soldiers were wounded in the attack.

Another soldier was killed and two wounded during combat operations Tuesday in the west of the capital, the U.S. command said.

not anbar -- not mars or venus -- baghdad.

the country continues to deteriorate -- services go unprovided -- infrastructure unrepaired -- and so on --

there is NO solution the american military can provide.

Grass Bush

Pile the bodies high in Austerlitz and Waterloo Iraq
Shovel them under and let me work--
I am the grass; bush; I cover all.

And pile them high in Gettyburg Baghdad
And pile them high in Ypres and Vedum Mossoul and Al Fallaujah

Two years, ten years, and passengers ask the conductor:
What place is this?

I am the grass bush.
Let me work.
