ABC newsOpposition Leader Kevin Rudd has declined to give details of his conversation with US President George W Bush, saying the discussion was off the record.
Mr Rudd met with the President for 45 minutes this morning.
He described the discussions as good natured, but says at the request of Mr Bush, details of the conversation will remain private.
Mr Rudd says he was not concerned about the request from Mr Bush to keep details of their discussions "off the record".
"The President was the host of the discussions - I regard that as normal diplomatic discourse," he said.

However, Mr Rudd has confirmed he put forward Labor's policy of a staged withdrawal from Iraq, starting from the middle of next year.
He has also indicated that a future Labor government would consider boosting Australian forces in Afghanistan if required.

### George Bush has asked Australians to re-elect John Howard..however the respected Lowy Institute ( www.lowyinstitute.org ) has done a recent survey that shows a majority of Australians distrust the US BECAUSE of George Bush..an endorsement from Bush is like the kiss of death.
With the Labor Party and Kevin Rudd at 59% support in every poll for the past 6 months-Kevin Rudd will be Prime Minister by December 2007.
John Howard may even lose his own seat to a popular former TV presenter.
