Transport Workers Union Endorses Edwards
Source: AP

Union president James C. Little said they chose Edwards because he has the best chance to beat the Republican candidate in November 2008.
"We think he can win," Little said.

"He's never deviated," Little said. "If we look at the other candidates, most of them triangulate between Wall Street, corporate America and unions, and John has pretty much stayed on track with working families."

The endorsement is Edwards' fourth from a union. He was endorsed on Labor Day by the United Steelworkers and the United Mineworkers unions. He also has been endorsed by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.

The Transport Workers Union has 200,000 members and retirees in airlines, railroads, public utilities and public transportation, including workers at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York City, the nation's largest public transit system. They also represent workers at Amtrak and at American and Southwest airlines

1. Good news for the Edwards camp. Just as Edwards in the White House
would be good news for working people.

4. Somebody Pinch Me!
Hillary better get a bite splint, or she'll grind her molars to dust.

This is a truly significant development of grassroots momentum. I am VERY glad that it's being so low-key, too. Walk softly, and carry a real big mandate!

10. It has started -
The MSM can't ignore him now - and his message is getting out regardless of the ongoing Hillary/Obama show.

Great News!

16. Run John Run!
I thought from the first time I saw John, way back when he announced for Senator of North Carolina that he would some day be President of the United States, and I will say he is getting close...Bill and Hill were in Charlotte, N.C. yesterday, you should see the big picture of Bill on the front page and huge one on page two, guess we should have expected this, wasn't Bill on the committee that helped the new owners buy the paper for Knight Rodder. The only way for Edwards to make the front page in big time, is to do something that would damage his chances to be President.

15. Good news for Nevada, too!
The dealers at the Wynn casino recently joined this union, since it also includes the service industry! I am proud of the dealers for voting overwhelmingly to join this union, even under pressure from the casino! These will make strong and determined supporters for JRE in Nevada....and all across the country!

20. Got that right. That cafta and nafta Hillary will sell us all down river
and please remember who supported NAFTA and helped the rePIGs: Bill Clinton. He could have vetoed it, but the S.O.B, lobbied for it!!!!!!!!!!!! I like every thing about him but that, which by the way created the disaster we have now, and the way he reformed welfare. He didnot have a security net for the minimum wage working people and especially moms.
