Ron Paul Supporters Claim They Were Shut Out of Straw Poll
Source: AP

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Dozens of supporters for Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul say they were shut out of last weekend's Texas straw poll in which he placed third.

Some say GOP officials orchestrated it because of Paul's contrarian views. The Texas congressman opposes the war in Iraq, wants to abolish the IRS and is a champion of small government and minimal foreign intervention.

"I do think they were trying to suppress the Ron Paul supporters," said Robert Werden, whose video of some Paul devotees being shunned at the door has been posted on YouTube. "Knowing that Ron Paul is from Texas and the support he had on the ground, I don't think they wanted us in there."

But Texas GOP officials deny those allegations, and Paul's own campaign agrees that his supporters were not targeted.

3. The Republican Party in Texas has always been a Mafia of Millionaires.
The fact that ordinary, blue collar and working class Texans continue to believe that they, too can be "Republicans" is hilarious.

The Republican Party in Texas has always been controlled by a handful of oil and chemical executives. It is a closed party.

Last year's vacancy by Tom Delay opened up this Texan GOP scab a little bit to the publics eye.

Fox also is doing everything they can to prevent reporting any sauces by Ron Paul.
