KENT, Ohio -- A Kent man who put an Impeach Bush sign reading "Impeach Bush" on public property is due in court Thursday.

1. Surely, all he has to say is that his intention all along...
...was to retrieve the sign after a certain period. It's not littering if you aren't throwing something away. Just like you're not littering when you park you car on the street. :)

2. What a crock!! "Littering" for putting up a protest sign. I would be interested to see how many
advertisement posters were hung up and around that town.

9. When he shows up in court he needs to bring photo evidence
of campaign signs as you say and ask the judge why there's a double standard and how many public officials were arrested during the last election for littering with their political signs.

3. We have several of these cases
one in Kensington, MD where a man tried to sell "IMPEACH HIM" buttons at a Farmer's Market and one in Richmond VA where a woman was arrested during a July 4th parade wearing an Impeach Him Sign.

5. On the sunny side, his message is getting much more mileage...
Before it was just a sign on the grass. The message was reaching a few thousand people at most.

Now it's national news and reaching millions.

We owe these authorities our thanks and a round of applause!

8. I have to agree with the authorities
I mean, think about it. If the poster has Bush's face on it, don't you think it belongs in the dump?

10. This case will be thrown out
but will get more attention for it being so absurd, and a complete waste of time.

A win-win situation for us. Conservatives show their idiocy by these types of double-standard laws that will not apply in the actual world.

13. Does He Have A Receipt for the Sign?
How do we know if Mr. Egler didn't steal the sign from Circuit City in the first place?

16. My e-mail to James Silver (the guy who brought the littering charges)

Hi;

I just wanted to thank James Silvers for keeping impeachment in the national news and on the national agenda.

Without this kind of publicity the endeavorer would be much more difficult.

Thanks again, and remember, Impeach Chaney first!

This is the e-mail address of the Law firm Mr. Sivers works at. There was no e-mail address at the Kent city listing for him.
