WASHINGTON - Democrats were criticized in a purported video by Osama bin Laden for being unable to stop the Iraq conflict. The video, obtained Friday by the U.S. government, NBC News and other news oprganizations, marked the sixth anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.

The al-Qaida leader said major corporations were to blame for the continuation of the conflict, which he said the "vast majority" of Americans want stopped.

“You elected the Democratic Party for this purpose," he said, accorded to a translated transcript. “On the contrary, they continue to agree to spending of tens of billions to continue the killings and the war there.” <SNIP>

The Department of Homeland Security said Thursday it had no credible information warning of an imminent threat to the United States, and analysts noted that al-Qaida tends to mark the Sept. 11 anniversary with a slew of messages. <SNIP>

What pisses me off is the leaders in the Senate will not go before the cameras and tell the American people they understand you elected us to a majority in both house of Congress, but because the Republicans require us to get 60 votes to even bring this to the floor for a vote.we are stopped ...Damn, if they do not educate the american people has to what is going on those same folks will blame the Dems for not doing anything as the latest polls seem to indicate they already have in placing the blame on the Democrats....
