Clinton, Edwards, Biden tout track records to laborers in Chicago

CHICAGO - A parade of Democratic presidential candidates touted pro-labor track records Monday and criticized the Bush administration for failing to support the middle class and American workers.

Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton and Joe Biden and former senator John Edwards courted the 500,000-member Laborers' International Union of North America, which has indicated it isn't likely to offer an immediate endorsement.

But that didn't stop the trio from trying.

Clinton called herself a longtime labor supporter, while criticizing the Bush administration for policies she said create a "government of the few, by the few and for the few."
