LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- The jury in the murder trial of music producer Phil Spector has told the judge that it is unable to reach a verdict.

The case was submitted to the nine-man, three-woman jury on September 10 after months of testimony.

Spector, 67, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of actress Lana Clarkson, 40.

1. ahem. It is hung jury, not jury hung,
unless justice has taken a very unusual turn, or
it was a well-endowed, all male jury.

8. not important since posters assume he's guilty.
Funny how I never read a post from anyone who may have witnessed the crime or testified in court.

oh well, I say we lock him in a cell with OJ and Robert Blake and get on with our lifes.

9. I've watched a fair bit of the trial
And to be honest with you, I wasn't shocked when I read "hung jury". It just didn't surprise me at all given that the white jacket Specter wore at the time of the shooting didn't demonstrate that he wasn't the one holding the gun when the shot was fired into Lana's mouth. That's a pretty big one for the prosecution to overcome since they claim he wore that very jacket during the shooting.

10. So I guess the jury dismissed the driver he confessed to when
he exited the house with the gun in his hand and said" I think I just killed someone". What a joke. And th ewhite jacket is a red herring. The wound was a simple entry wound with very little splatter. I can't wait to find out how many jurors think he is not guilty because I bet it is very few.

11. I think that the current vote is 7-5, but they won't say which way
It will be interesting to see what the jury says, I hope we find out what the issue is that is dividing them. It isn't like just 1 or 2 people have a differing opinion.
