Iranian invite to Bush(Ahmadinejad: Bush can speak at a university if he should ever travel to Iran)
Source: AP

(AP) -- TEHRAN, Iran - After being welcomed in New York with protests and a scolding from the president of Columbia University, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is extending an invitation to President Bush. Ahmadinejad tells Iranian state television that if Bush plans to travel to Iran, he's welcome to make a speech at an Iranian university.

At Columbia Monday, university president Lee Bollinger introduced Ahmadinejad as a leader who exhibits "all the signs of a petty and cruel dictator." That introduction has prompted complaints in Iran and elsewhere that Ahmadinejad had been blindsided.

While the Iranian president himself complained of the "unfriendly treatment" and "many insults," he otherwise appeared to take the comments in stride. But back home, Iranians are saying Bollinger's words added to their image of the U.S. as a bully.

12. Re: out-classed
Bush may prefer to 'wait' for another wonderful smooth regime change there before travelling to Iran and sharing his thoughts with welcoming Iranian youth.

The war option is looking far too ugly now. Dat's goooood!

2. Bush speaking at an Iranian university?
The mind boggles. Perhaps if U.S. forces invade and conquer Iran, he will consider doing a "mission accomplished" speech at the University of Tehran, to a hand picked crowd of lackeys. A lot of people would have to die first, though (on both sides).

5. but only after US forces take down a statue with about a dozen Iranians present...
and then FUX zeros in on those few Iranians to make it seem like the Iranians did it...

oh, and AFTER the US takes down the US flag it "mistakenly" put up...

4. good call on that one
He's also repeatedly invited him to do a televised public debate on any topics.

Before any sort of flaming starts here, let me just mention this shouldn't be construed as me saying i love him as a leader and hate americans for our freedoms. i would just love to see Bush form coherent sentences to a group of students in Iran

7. Ha! He won't even speak in front of non-Republican audiences in the US.
He wouldn't go to Iran unless Cheney held his hand the whole way there and back.

8. interesting that ahmadinejad had the courage to come into a country
in which he is hated and speak at forums in which his views were ridiculed. bush never even speaks to those who may question his ideas in his own country.

17. checkmate
Chess, a game the Persians have been playing for centuries... it requires thinking ahead several moves...

Persian king checkmates BushCo king.

People in the ME set great store by the exercise of hospitality, even to enemies. Our side of the chess board really goofed.
