Bolton calls for bombing of Iran
Source: Gaurdian UK

John Bolton, the former US ambassador to the United Nations, told Tory delegates today that efforts by the UK and the EU to negotiate with Iran had failed and that he saw no alternative to a pre-emptive strike on suspected nuclear facilities in the country.
Mr Bolton, who was addressing a fringe meeting organised by Lord (Michael) Ancram, said that the Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, was "pushing out" and "is not receiving adequate push-back" from the west.

Still to the right of Blair and Brown and quite receptive to the likes of Bolton.

I actually saw an interview he did on the Andrew Marr show yesterday. It was appalling. He was there ostensibly to talk about Burma and instead he did nothing but blather on about Iran.

31. That arsehole is on the BBC way too much
for my liking.

I saw him on BBC News 24 a while ago as the only expert opinion, i.e. his views unchallenged by someone sane.

The news reader finished the interview with the words "a pleasure speaking with you, Mr Bolton, as always "

3. Is John Bolton still relevant to U.S policy, I mean he has no authority
...still, correct? So why should anyone give a rat's ass what Bolton says? I appreciate the post and hopefully Bolton can be ignored into obscurity:eyes:

4. here's the problem:
These people just haven't learned that when we screw with people, THEY CAN SCREW WITH US BACK! Just because we can overwhelm Saddam Hussein's regular forces in a conventional war, they can do this insurgency stuff, oil goes up and that hurts our economy, troops die, we have to spend tons of money on this war, so on and so on. If we bomb Iran, most reasonable people are not sure we can do any serious damage to their nuclear program in the first place because it's in underground bunkers, then they can really screw with us in Iraq, they can fire missiles at our ships, they can make oil $200 a barrel, not to mention the permanent damage done to our standing in the world community. These people think we can just do whatever we want and there won't be any consequences and that's just plain WRONG.

20. What's this... "we" word you are using?
You seem to be assuming these bastards give a shit about anyone else. Plain fact of the matter is, they will never be the ones under enemy fire, they have their millions, and they have hideouts in nations without extradition treaties. They. Don't. Care.

24. I use "we" loosely to descreibe his supporters
including poor people from rural Nebraska that get nothing from his policies, they certainly don't get cap gains from their oil or defense stocks. Lots of these folks have bought into his idiotic notion that Iran is going to bomb their farm unless we stop them simply because they constantly hear that shit from Rush Limbaugh etc etc and nothing to refute it.

And what happens when Iran retaliates for such a possible attack? You gonna grab a rifle and go to the Gulf? Of course not, since you are a cowardly chicken hawk who spent his entire adult life in right-wing governments and right-wing stink tanks.

9. Another madman. We are infested with them through Bush.
Reading that article demonstrates that Bolton is beyond evil. He's insane (life is about choices???):

"Because life is about choices, I think we have to consider the use of military force. I think we have to look at a limited strike against their nuclear facilities."

He added that any strike should be followed by an attempt to remove the "source of the problem", Mr Ahmadinejad.

"If we were to strike Iran it should be accompanied by an effort at regime change ... The US once had the capability to engineer the clandestine overthrow of governments. I wish we could get it back."

14. ....and there's always another one to take Bolton's place
In other words, the American Israel Political Affairs Committee is the main political force urging – indeed, demanding – U.S. action... Now, as Israeli calls for a U.S. attack on Iran become more shrill by the day, AIPAC recognizes that the American people profoundly distrust Vice President Cheney and the nest of neocon liars he has sheltered. The Bush-Cheney war machine has been pretty well exposed, and that must worry the warmongers within the group. Israeli Defense Force chief artillery officer Gen. Oded Tira has griped that "President Bush lacks the political power to attack Iran..."

I hate all Iranians, US aide tells MPs

By SIMON WALTERS

Last updated at 21:26pm on 29th September 2007

Britsh MPs visiting the Pentagon to discuss America's stance on Iran and Iraq were shocked to be told by one of President Bush's senior women officials: "I hate all Iranians."

And she also accused Britain of "dismantling" the Anglo-US-led coalition in Iraq by pulling troops out of Basra too soon.

The all-party group of MPs say Debra Cagan, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Coalition Affairs to Defence Secretary Robert Gates, made the comments this month.

Scroll down for more...

Hard line: Debra Cagan stunned the MPs with her comments

The six MPs were taken aback by the hardline approach of the Pentagon and in particular Ms Cagan, one of Mr Bush's foreign policy advisers.

She made it clear that although the US had no plans to attack Iran, it did not rule out doing so if the Iranians ignored warnings not to develop a nuclear bomb.

It was her tone when they met her on September 11 that shocked them most.

The MPs say that at one point she said: "In any case, I hate all Iranians."

Although it was an aside, it was not out of keeping with her general demeanour.

"She seemed more keen on saying she didn't like Iranians than that the US had no plans to attack Iran," said one MP. "She did say there were no plans for an attack but the tone did not fit the words."

Another MP said: "I formed the impression that some in America are looking for an excuse to attack Iran. It was very alarming."

Tory Stuart Graham, who was on the ten-day trip, would not discuss Ms Cagan but said: "It was very sobering to hear from the horse's mouth how the US sees the situation."

Ms Cagan, whose job involves keeping the coalition in Iraq together, also criticised Britain for pulling out troops.

"She said if we leave the south of Iraq, the Iranians will take it over," said one MP.

Another said: "She is very forceful and some of my colleagues were intimidated by her muscular style."

The MPs also saw Henry Worcester, Deputy Director of the Office of Iranian Affairs, who said he favoured talks with Iran.

The Pentagon denied Ms Cagan said she "hated" Iranians.

"She doesn't speak that way," said an official.

But when The Mail on Sunday spoke to four of the six MPs, three confirmed privately that she made the remark and one declined to comment. The other two could not be contacted.

John Bolton's is one of the signatures on the January, 1998 letter from the New American Century neocon thinktank urgently advising Bill Clinton to invade Iraq. These people are indeed insane.

She looks more like a man than Ann Coulter.
She's just another Zionist propagandist and
Bolton is as well. I can't believe the stuff

folks like Kristol and others get one so they
can speak their evil. They are false prophets
we heard of and they are destroying the world.
