Franken again raises more money than Coleman in latest period
Source: Examiner

WASHINGTON (Map, News) - DFL Senate candidate Al Franken out-fundraised U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman for the second consecutive reporting period but also outspent him, allowing Coleman to widen his cash advantage in their senate race.

Franken, a comedian-turned-candidate, announced in a YouTube video Thursday that he had raised $1.89 million while Coleman said he raised $1.7 million in the reporting period that ended Sept. 30.

But thriftier spending allowed Coleman, a Minnesota Republican, to end the period with twice as much cash on hand - nearly $5 million for Coleman compared with $2.45 million for Franken. At the end of the previous reporting period, on June 30, Coleman had just under $4 million while Franken has just under $2 million.

Coleman's campaign said it had spent around $700,000 in the latest reporting period. Franken's campaign spent roughly double that.

Other than the money reporting, I haven't heard much about the polling numbers or his campaign on the ground. Is he ahead?

7. Agreed. How could the state that elected Paul Wellstone still support Norm Coleman?
Particularly given Coleman's abysmal track record and numerous gaffes while in office. Mystifying.

Norm Coleman is considered to be amongst the most vulnerable rethug seat in the senate.

We gotta help Franken reclaim the seat once held by Paul Wellstone.

Go Franken!! sending a donation.
